For students enrolled in JRooz CELPIP Review Center, read and follow these ultimate tips on how to ace the speaking task 3 – describing a scene:

1.    Maximize the preparation time given to you during the test. Once the picture appears on the screen, check all the essential details of the image including the number of people, if there are animals or objects involved, and the location or the place (e.g., classroom, park, or inside the house.)

       2.    Focus on the situation happening in the picture. Don’t think of something else while staring at the image. During your CELPIP course review classes, seek for various concentration and focus enhancement tips and strategies to be 100% CELPIP-ready.

       3.    When explaining the image, make sure that you cover the following:
·         Who is in the picture?
·         How many people are involved in the picture?
·         What is happening in the picture?
·         Where is the exact location of the event/scene in the picture?

       4.    Speak clearly and calmly. Remember that you only have 60 seconds to describe the image. If you speak too fast, the person listening might find it hard to understand you. If you speak slowly, you will just waste too much time, and you might not mention all the details in the picture.

       5.    Make sure to use descriptive words while discussing the image. Using these words can help paint a clear picture when describing an event/scene to someone. There are so many websites that you can check out to get a list of thousands of descriptive words that you can use during the test.
